The Meurig Team
The Meurig Team is the effort of a single teacher. He works for Edcouch-Elsa High School as a high school history teacher. On occasion, Bill recruits the help of other educators throughout Texas, the nation, and in fact, the world. If you would like to contribute to The Meurig Team, contact Bill at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Our Academic Focus
The immediate scope of our efforts are to ready 11th graders in need of accelerated STAAR test reviews and readiness. To meet this goal, we have streamlined the content of this web space to include only U.S. History TEKS 4 through 11 with frequently tested supporting standards covered as needed.
The philosophy of the Meurig Team is simple: read, write, create. Teaching students to read credible sources of text, write critically about each lesson, and create an artifact that draws a line from the historical context of the lesson to present day events, achieves several learning goals. The primary of these goals is to convert short-term memory to long-term memory through practical applications of history. Suffice it to say, our teaching philosophy is simply complex: read, write, create.
